a .srt
i had success with a program on my win7 and there is supposedly a way to do it with Handbrake, altho I haven't quite found out how yet, for some reason my Handbrake version doesn't carry what theirs says it does.

OK I was going to suggest trying mkvmerge. That would mux the sub track and video and make them it selectable.

But doing that would change it to a mkv instead of all mp4.

then i use the Anicoder to turn them back into mp4's..no biggie for me as long as the subs are in.

I googled it and nothing helpful came up.

The only option is to manually add the srt file with your video player or app.

Thanks to this innovative app which is available for Android and iOS devices. Its layout and interface is also fully customizable allowing the more unconventional users to change the feel and look of the player. It also supports streaming of media through YouTube and other HTML5 based video streaming sites. While the player is mostly used for playback of video files, it also supports the popular audio formats such as MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV making it a complete media player for your smartphones. But perhaps the best functionality of the App lies in its group sharing function, which allows you to transfer and receive video files directly through the player’s interface. The videos are automatically integrated into the player’s media guide, allowing you to easily scroll through the different files and choose what you wish to watch. You can visit their website for support if you ran into any trouble.

  1. Download VLC in your android phone. Then, it is as usual as that of how we use in PC.
  2. VLC's procedure is same as that for MXplayer too. Just download the .srt file and click on the three dots in mxplayer, while the video is playing. You will see the subtitle option, clicking on it, will open the subtitle which is in your phone directory. Click it and it will add the subtitle directly to your video.
  3. If you wish to have a seperate app, then there are android apps available for you, at your disposal.
    1. GMT subtitles (3.9/5)
    2. Get subtitles (4.3/5)
    3. Subloader (4.0/5)

Out of all these, GMT subtitles, is the only ad-free app which is used for adding subtitles. Play the video, the app will automatically open the list of subtitles, click on it, to add to the video. Simple.

But the only difficulty is that, it doesn't read SD cards, at times.

At the same time, Get Subtitles is the one which is accurate and faster, compared to other apps. Though, the working remains the same.

Hope this works for you.

Thank you for the wonderful advice I know all about the MXplayer and VLC function if you have .SRT or .ass long as you name the file same as the MP4 or Avi but I am looking for a a program to hard-code it into MP4 or Avi.
I wish to use a movie file without using such methods relying on the srt or ass 4 subtitles I like to integrate the program onto the file itself.
The reason I'm doing this because I like to get a good copy of the war with the Planet of the Apes for the monkeys translation or should I say ape translation for that movie I managed to find a good copy of the movie in MP4 and the Srt file
But I'm having a difficult time with it.
If you have any idea I'll be much appreciated thank you
