Guys, there has been a lot of confusion and unclear instructions as to how
to test-drive Chaseplane, the correct procedure after installation is as
follows:
1. Goto oldprop.com/sim/account/ to register a free account
using a valid email for verification
2. use Windows firewall or 3rd party program to block chaseplane.exe
ONLY, if you block VFXCentral it will not work
3. start VFX Central before you start P3d and login using your validated
email and password. It will show you have no purchased product, that's
not a problem
4. start P3d, then chaseplane, it'll complain that it cannot retrieve
your airplane presets, no problem it should now work in local mode.
However, you'll have to setup each of your airplane from scratch or
import .ecs file from Ezdok if you have them
5. you have to keep VFXCentral running if you want to use chaseplane again
after closing each flight
6. if you found it too difficult to block chaseplane, just disconnect
from internet after the P3d startup logo screen each time, otherwise
you'll get the quota exceed error
7. if chaseplane fails to start you may have to install the missing SlimDX
run-time which can be downloaded in my Mega folder
Blue sky! If you like the program and you can afford it, buy it to suppport
the developer
