AVG Secure Browser The AdBlock option has disappeared & the help forum isn't really helping much.

You are not the only one, theres alot of complaints about it disappearing, and no telling when it will return,

One even went so far to tell other people to use CCleaner Browser as it has an adblock feature built in...

dunno about it..have never used it before, if you want it I can grab it.

Yeah I even asked has any of the Help Forum staff experienced the same thing & I'm like If so then why are they asking for individual user data logs when we're suffering from the same problem cause the way they phrase help suggestions it's like they don't use the AVG Browser at all.

The suggestion was me.
I made the suggestion to one of the other users having the same issue as we wait for a possible solution from AVG.
I figured if there were other users who didn't like AD popins or had problems with them & lost the AdBlock option on AVG's Browser, they could try that till AVG get things set right.

I think the AdBlock has disappeared a few times before because there's been a few times Ads has popped in on sites I frequent.
So something could be up with it altogether.

I downloaded CCleaner Browser after CCleaner kept bugging me with announcement it was a thing lol.
My surprise it had many of the same security center options that the AVG Browser has.

Also there's been something buggy about the AVG Browser.
At times it doesn't respond.
I think AVG's Browser is having more issues then I think.

This recent reported disruption of the AdBlock feature being removed from AVG Secure Browser, is a known disruption, and was temporarily removed by our development team due to necessary browser maintenance.

To be assured, this is a temporary disruption, and the AdBlock feature is expected to be automatically reintroduced to the browser, likely next week.

Well I'll keep using CCleaner's Browser till then.

1. How did AVG support staff not know about this & not make an announcement on the AVG Support Forums before users asked what happened help.

Thursday & no AVG AdBlock, & the AVG support forum is like DUH I don't know.
Hmm I still wondering why they're still in the dark about what goes on with the Apps, why doesn't AVG inform them.

Yep, I have suggested this before..
too bad AVG cant keep up with their end of the software biz..
Instead of them making all these security gadgets for browsers,
maybe they should have just stuck with the Anti Viral and leave the rest alone.

Aren't they with Avast, so what's the problem.
Ya got AVG & Avast so why are there issues, what are they trying undercut users on.

CCLeaner suffered from the same No-AdBlock issue that AVG's Browser has.
Same early response too.
Blah Blah don't know what happen.
Blah Blah didn't know it was down.
Blah Blah Blah it'll be fixed as soon as possible.

It's finally fixed as of a few days ago, seems like AdBlock gets re-worked to keep up every so often through their Browsers when some kinda maintenance goes on.

My suggestion is have multiple Browsers added to your system to use in cases like these cause for many sites I've noticed are allowing Ads to reduce or eliminate Board costs.
Like official news sites, more are stopping you from reading News articles till you turn off your Ad-Block.
Some sites will even stop you from viewing & or reading content unless you turn off your Ad-Block, unfortunately some of those sites that allow Ads have terrible redirects cause of it too.

So beware.
