Any teenager in America can now receive a free Brooklyn Public Library card. This $50 offer is designed to combat censorship and allow teens to sign out any ebooks and audiobooks from wherever they live!This freebie is open to anyone ages 13-21 and can be redeemed by emailing [ICODE]BooksUnbanned@bklynlibrary.org[/ICODE] or by DMing the teen-run Instagram account, @bklynfuture.
Between July 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022, there have been over 1,500 book bans targeting 1,145 unique book titles in 26 states. Thanks to the Brooklyn Public Library, the 2+ million students affected by these ludicrous bans now have guaranteed access to these books.
