he basically said he was retired from that genre....

Oh cool.
It sucks he's retired but it's understandable, there's other genre he probably wants to try.
A shame the cast of the Ash vs Evil Dead series though, maybe a type of spin off but unfortunately for that idea Evil Dead revolves around the character Ash.
