CLOUDFLARE ?
#1

I saw a random video on cloudflare free public DNS server 1.1.1.1 & it claims faster internet speed if you switch your primary & secondary DNS to it.
So i switched my PS3 DNS to it & the connection speed increased a bit but i'm wondering has anyone heard anything GOOD or BAD about cloudflare ????

This has been around for a bit and I haven't seen anything specific about Cloudflare,
but the principles would still hold for a Cloud Network.

Is there any GOOD or BAD things i should know ?

Like i said i switched my the DNS on my PS3 to a free DNS server before cloudflare & i noticed an increase in connection speed, a big difference. It went from single to double digits.
Using CLOUDFLARE it was a slight increase over that.

Not too much info at the moment about it,
It won’t actually speed up a connection, and for very many people it will slow down web page loading times as the Cloudflare DNS server is in Australia and the majority of Internet users are not.
Google DNS servers on 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 may be a better option for some people.

If you are streaming movies and keep getting buffering, then changing the DNS will make absolutely no difference. This is when a faster Internet connection is required to overcome buffering, and this cannot be achieved by a change of DNS.

You might wanna check into https://www.opennic.org/ for a better DNS source.

I tried the google DNS & it didn't increase anything for my PS3, what did was 208. & the 1.1.1.1

208 is actually recommended to increase connection speed for the PS4.

Using those the connection speed download mbps increased by alot, but as people say it may vary or not change at all. That said i tried 208 & 1.1.1.1 on my 360 & nothing.

I'm not one who likes to mess with my gaming system unless I have a backup,
But I might give that a try and see the difference.
