You'll have to wait a bit longer to sail the high seas in Skull & Bones.
Alongside the reveal of Ubisoft’s past financial figures today, the publisher also announced that the upcoming action game Skull & Bones has now been delayed.
Skull & Bones was originally supposed to release in 2019, but this delay has pushed it into a new, undisclosed window. Ubisoft didn’t list the game in its projections for the upcoming fiscal year in its report today, which means that Skull & Bones won’t be launching until after March 31, 2020 at the very earliest. Furthermore, the game also won’t appear next month during E3 2019 in Los Angeles.
The official Skull & Bones Twitter account also shared a brief video and statement talking about the delay and how the team working on the project remains committed to making it as good as it can be. In the video, the game’s producer Karl Luhe also thanked fans for their continued feedback and love. “Our focus remains on quality first and we’re grateful for your undying support,” said the tweet.
While this is surely a bummer to those who were looking forward to Skull & Bones this year, Ubisoft still has a pretty extensive lineup for 2019. Whenever Skull & Bones does end up dropping, it’s still slated to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
