Well we had an opportunity to move the other day to a newer apartment, wife went thru and printed all the required paperwork which was a pain in the tookus to do,also got a $300 money order for the holding of the apartment, now mind you, we did all this paperwork and $149 reg fee back in september for the initial application, but they wanted it again, so the manager lady, she refuses to show us the apartment saying she doesn't have a unit ready to show,
she was a great salesperson, she had us fill out all the forms, sign the release papers, which took about an hour and a half to do this..finally when we sign the last page..she sez.." Lets go see your apartment ", we are like YES..time to see..we didn't think we were going to get to see a apartment first before we moved in, so we walked to the far back of the complex, then we walked up two flights of high pitched stairs, get to the apartment and she opens the door, and the first thing we notice is the 12x12 living room, then to the super small bedrooms where my wife's 8 month old King Size mattress will NOT fit in either room, let alone our tv's,dressers and other required stuff we need to live, we knew we were going to have size down some..but that was ridiculous..for every 20 things we had, we would have to get rid of at least 18 of them to just to move around in the apartment, the bathrooms were nice, the kitchen area was nice, the living room and bedrooms were very small, those that know us know we have large personalities and know we need our room, we talked about it ( well I hollered and ranted about the size of the place and how anything would fit, all the stuff we need to get rid of and how could we get along for 5 years in a space that tight together ) after all this it was decided that we were not going to take the apartment..way to many CONS vs PROS, the biggest and most important was the size of the apartment, we have gotten very used to our living space size, and the idea to pay the same amount of rent + a $100 xtra for a small garage, with the utilities also would have been too much for our family,
we didn't realize till we saw the new apartment, just how lucky we were when we scored this place, with one day left on our voucher, and that was the very last extension for our voucher, we are VERY blessed to have found this spot,
