Nioh 2 Announced in Fiery Teaser During Sony E3 Press Conference

Nioh 2 was just announced during the Sony E3 Press Conference to fiery fanfare and the emergence of what appears to be a demonic main character.

Today, Sony showcased Nioh 2 at Sony’s E3 2018 Press Conference.

Set to the backdrop of a burning Japanese battlefield, a man clothed in armor faces several familiar demons. We see them clash before the man’s helmet is struck from his head, revealing a pair of amrita-infused demon horns. The man slumps over after this hit before grabbing his own horns, pulling them from his head, and emerging as a fiery demon not unlike those he was just facing.

So far, this short teaser is all we know about Nioh 2; neither a release date nor any specifically mentioned platforms were in the trailer, though we can assume it will at least be for PS4. Considering the character featured in this particular trailer possesses a demonic form and that the title key art has similar horns, Nioh 2 definitely shapes up to change what the first one started. Team Ninja will no doubt offer a great deal of support for the game just like it did for the original. Stay tuned for more details as they arise. Thanks to MKIceAndFire for the trailer, which you can check out below.
