Update: FighterZ Pass 3 is now officially available to purchase in Dragon Ball FighterZ for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Steam for $19.99 USD. Players who pick it up now will gain access to its first DLC fighter Kefla two days before people can buy her separately on February 28.

Earlier this week, Season 3 of Dragon Ball FighterZ became available to download. This major update is providing a number of nifty features that will change the meta for Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Before jumping into the action, it might be a good idea to review the official patch notes. For a brief breakdown, you could also look over our 5 big takeaways from the Season 3 patch notes.
The third season for the game is introducing a number of mechanical changes. For example, the Z Assist Select is granting players the ability to choose between one of three different assists for every character in the game.
It's also important to understand that there's a new comeback mechanic that has a synergy with the already present Sparking Blast. Once a player is reduced to just one character remaining, the Limit-Breaking Power effect will kick in.
Not only will your remaining fighter gain a bonus to their attack power, but they'll also be granted a free bar of meter. This should surely help in turning the tide in a losing battle.
In addition to Ultra Instinct Goku, we'll eventually gain access to three additional challengers throughout the season. As of this moment, the identities of these three combatants are currently unknown.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that the developers of Dragon Ball FighterZ have stated that they're open to doing a large mid-season balance patch if it is deemed necessary.
