1.
Quote:Parking on a Hill

Uphill: When headed uphill at a curb, turn the front wheels away from the curb and let your vehicle roll backwards slowly until the rear part of the front wheel rests against the curb using it as a block.

Downhill: When you stop your car headed downhill, turn your front wheels toward the curb. Let your vehicle roll slowly until the front tire rests against the curb using it as a block.

2. Or up or downhill cause either way the vehicle rolls towards the curb.

Which do you think ?

The idea is for the curb to halt or slow the car,
If you park uphill and back the car so the back of front wheels touch the curb, it wont roll as easy.

Yes but wouldn't the same be true when facing downhill?
And isn't the initial point having the vehicle roll away from traffic so either way up or down it rolls safely out of the way of vehicles.

Also you have to look at when the law was made, the cars were much heavier and quite abit larger and obnoxious back in those days,
so i bet its a bit outdated.

Yeah possibly but still a vehicle is going to roll downhill either way right, & when facing uphill with front wheels turns towards the curb the vehicle's rear is turning towards the curb.
Downhill front wheels turn towards the curb the vehicle rolls towards the curb.

I mean it's a circle.

Thats what I said earlier, but when you look at it, doesnt look right, but i have used both instances and they do work,
and of course I use the handbrake to when I am parked on a hill.
