No, it's for windows 10 & 11.

For the win7 answer, this might help more...Read Very Carefully,

Oh boy. I did the sync method, by that I mean I deleted two empty folders in C:\Windows\System32\Tasks, with no effect.
Should I do a restore or not worry?

Well,
First off, if you have the defragger set to Task at a certain time, disable that task,
Reboot the Computer and if it fires up with no issues, then yer good for now.

Hmmm, I did that but only the Defrag for windows, I didn't try turning Defrag off for Advance System Care too.
Advance System Care has a Defrag feature that takes first seat & has a setting, meaning if I go into the C: & select Defrag then Advance System Care kicks in & optimizes things.

So I'll turn that off too then & try.

I think the problem is that WPD I went on about awhile back.
Okay this isn't matching up, it says find the guide string & then delete it in those following strings & I cannot find it in those following strings.
I looked through them & don't see the Guide String anywhere else.

Ok...if you mean you can't find the guid Id string,
That's it highlighted in blue...notice the corresponding numbers in the string...8632442E - etc
But yer messing with the registry, Be Very Careful,
Make sure you have a backup ready and it's easy to implement in case of a mistake.

The Adobe Acrobat Update Task is just an example right, that's not the one I'm suppose to look for?

The error I get it from WPD, that's when the error 0 pops up.
Yea I can find the string for the error I'm getting in this subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tree

But the following subkeys I cannot it anywhere them.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Boot
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Logon
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Maintenance
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Plain
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tasks

The Restore Points isn't as much an issue as this error 0 problem is now.
I can create restore points & IObits makes them too, my issue with is what happen to the older restore points, why are they disappearing.
I had 1 restore point left so I created a few new ones myself.
I'm checking to see if any others were made.

Okay windows did make a restore point 4/9 so I'm still wondering why did the older ones disappear, is it due to free space limit or what.

Arrrrgggh!
Screw it.
I've tried repeatedly, I went in & deleted the string that was causing the error 0 from each part of the reg & tried importing it to the task scheduler & nothing.
I got it to appear once for a second there & it disappeared flat out.
So screw it.

Thank You guys for all your help.
I'm either doing it wrong & or too stupid to do it right, so I'm gonna leave it for awhile.
My laptop is running for what I use it for so I'm going stop messing with it for now.

Threads like these should be kept though for future help for others.

When in doubt, backup your data and clean install. Anytime I've had issue with windows that's my go-to solution. WindowsCentral won't give you straight answers but I belive you can ask the experts over on reddit and they might be able to help. Just remember to not give em any private info cause you can never trust a redditor
