This got me wondering about something.
It's not simply dub verses sub but about changing dialog & social climates.
Something I don't like when a series gets re-re-re-released.
Anime reflects the lives of the characters included & sometimes the climate of real life making characters more relatable & the story more compelling.
But what about stories that has nothing to do with a current social climate or reflect the social politics our real life.
Should old Anime Dubs/Subs change the dialog to reflect whatever the social climate is at the current time in our real lives, or should it stick as close as possible to whatever the original scripts were when originally written ?
Screw realism.
Screw being practical.
Screw representation.
Screw Woke/PC BS.
When Ya got the tools, ya got the talent, & the freedom.
The reason one draws stuff like this is because they can.
